While the Civil War is looming at Sassafras, the ancestral home of the Simpson family, Colonel Simpson tries to marry off his daughters Scarlett and Melody. But, fiddle-dee-dee, there are no respectable southern gentlemen to be found with all this talk of war, war, war! To make matters worse, somebody is a Yankee spy.
