Background

OHMPAA began staging productions at the Paris Hill Academy building in 1990 and at the Norway Grange in 2002. We are grateful to the Paris Hill Community Club and the Norway Grange members for allowing us unrestricted access to the facilities, providing the luxury of flexible rehearsal schedules, storage space, and time to build and nurture many spectacular sets. The availability adds immeasurably to the quality of a production. Thank you!

Advisory Board

In 2013, we increased our board to 15 members (from 12). Most board members live and work in the Oxford Hills and have wide-ranging backgrounds and professions, but share a love of theater and the arts. At our annual meeting each year, one third of the board is up for renewal. New or renewing members are nominated at that meeting and elected by OHMPAA's voting members. The board then reorganizes itself for the coming year by electing new officers.

Advisory Board meetings are usually held at 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month. In the winter months we meet in the board room at Stephens Memorial Hospital or at a board member's home. In warmer weather we meet at the Norway Grange.
