OHMPAA - Community Theater in the Hills

OHMPAA's 2018 Season

Noises Off

Michael Frayn

June 14-24
Norway Grange

Called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. Directed by Corrine Turner.

Little Shop of Horrors

Book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, music by Alan Menken

November 8-18
Norway Grange

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and intent towards global domination! Directed by Andrew Scott Turner.

This Is What Happened 4: Backstage Stories

July 28
Norway Grange

Have you ever wondered what really happens at rehearsals or offstage? Local folks, your friends and neighbors, will share their stories with you. Directed by Sally Jones.

The Gift of the Magi and The Happy Prince

December
Area Churches

This year we bring you two beloved stories of the season. In O. Henry’s classic tale, “The Gift of the Magi,” newlyweds sacrifice their most prized possessions to buy each other Christmas gifts. Oscar Wilde tells the story of a swallow, left behind after his flock flew away, and the statue of the late “Happy Prince,” who had never experienced true sorrow. Directed by Cynthia Reedy.
